SOUTHWEST COLORADO SPRINGS - RSV Bronchiolitis
Dr. Bridget Tewes with Colorado Springs Health Partners (CSHP) reports quite a few cases of RSV Bronchiolitis in children, both at her office and at the hospital.
Symptoms include a harsh and wheezy cough, which worsens rapidly.
You may or may not have a fever as well.
One of the other factors making the patient even more miserable is thick nasal congestion.
In severe cases, some children may require supplemental oxygen.
NORTH CENTRAL COLORADO SPRINGS - Gastroenteritis (Stomach Flu)
Dr. David Zirkle with Dublin Primary Care says there is a nasty bout of gastroenteritis, or stomach flu, going around.
Adults are the ones suffering.
It starts with vomiting, and then turns to diarrhea for the next five to six days.
Keep the fluids up, because dehydration is a real possibility.
