Updated: 7:24 PM Woodland Park got its first officlal dusting of the season on Tuesday morning around 11:00. Residents there say the snow started as morning rainshowers, by 11:00 a.m. turned into snowflakes and by noon the sky was grey and white and the big, fluffy flakes were falling fast enough to stick to grass, trees, even sidewalks.
Posted: 4:42 AM A hurricane warning is posted today for the Texas coast from Baffin Bay, 100 miles south to the mouth of the Rio Grande river and another 225 miles to La Cruz, Mexico. Tropical storm Alex is expected to become a hurricane today. Authorities are readying emergency shelters and distributing sandbags.
