West Coast Storms Dumping Lots of Snow In Colorado

By: AP

The Colorado mountains are getting several feet of snow from the huge storms that have hit the West Coast. It's great news for ski resorts -- if the skiers can get to the slopes. In Silverton, in the southwestern part of the state, a local reporter says it's been snowing like crazy for two and a-half days. He says they now have four feet on the ground, and the town is cut off while crews do avalanche control. Some Christmas shoppers are said to be upset that they can't get out of town. Northeast of Silverton, in Crested Butte, a waitress at a cafe says they've been getting wet snow all day. She says customers are telling her it's hard to get out and around.
