The sun has come out after a gloomy Wednesday and early Thursday, and with the improved weather conditions, the Colorado Springs Police Department is no longer on "Accident Alert Status."
The fog from Wednesday carried over into Thursday, bringing with it damp conditions, slick roads and even a dusting of snow in some parts of the Springs. Because of the early morning road conditions, Springs police were on “Accident Alert Status.” When on “Accident Alert,” drivers who get in an accident where no one is injured, no damage to public property occurs and no drugs or alcohol are involved are asked to fill out a cold report.
With the status no longer in effect, accidents will now be reported in the typical fashion.
