Scientists Say Cut Soot, Methane To Curb Warming

WASHINGTON (AP) -- An international team of scientists says it's figured out how to slow global warming in the short run and prevent millions of deaths from dirty air. And they say their proposals would save more money than it would cost.

These experts say the key is cutting emissions of two powerful causes of global warming -- methane and soot. Methane is produced by landfills, farms and energy production. Soot comes from burning coal, wood and other fuels. Reducing soot would save lives.

Most governments have focused on curbing carbon dioxide, the most significant greenhouse gas, which comes from using fossil fuels. The scientists came up with their new findings after running computer models of 400 different pollution control measures. The study is published online in the journal Science.

If you are dumb enough to belive in global warming you should spend your money on solar panels, electric cars, and you are probably scared of thins that go bump in the night. This left wing News station only reports (poorly) on things they know nothing about. Everyone shouldnt get a hug, keeping score is important, and some kids will be left behind. Wake up people and live in the real world. The new term you idiots have is "global change" not global warming. Instead of sendind your money to save they polar bears because ther not dying. Send your money me I can put it to use and make some good come out of it. Like the Cancer foundation, MS,or the many other real problems in United States. Global Warming, how dumb can people be ??
