Several callers have reported seeing apparent smoke above the Waldo Canyon burn scar, but the El Paso County Sheriff's Office reports it is actually black dirt kicked up by the wind.
A wildland fire crew was sent to investigate the reports, but found no fire.
A Type-4 team is constantly monitoring the fire, in case of an actual flare up.
