Why The Video Looks Shaky (Don Ward)
Updated: 06/18/2013 - We did a quick helicopter tour of the Black Forest burn area. Someone asked why the video looks shaky.
Areas of low clouds, fog, and drizzle will persist through mid-late morning. Be sure to allow yourself some extra time this morning, as the fog could be dense in spots.
The combination of ample moisture and an approaching disturbance will likely lead to scattered thunderstorms by mid-late afternoon. A few of these storms could be strong/severe with frequent lightning, quarter-size hail, and locally heavy rainfall the main threats.
Rest assured, we'll be the first to alert you should any watches or warnings be issued.
