Snow showers continue this evening creating slick road conditions across southern Colorado. Overnight the N Pikes Peak Region sees a second push of moisture and locally heavy snowfall will once again be possible. A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for far northern El Paso County where ~4" are possible by Tuesday morning. Also ahead, a High Wind Warning for much of southeast Colorado from 4-11am Tuesday morning as wind gusts could reach up to 60 mph. Unusually dry conditions and the wildfire in Jefferson County have prompted some Front Range communities to issue fire restrictions.
Arapahoe, Boulder and Jefferson counties implemented restrictions Tuesday in unincorporated parts of their counties, and Denver banned fires in its mountain parks.
Larimer County officials haven't issued a fire ban yet but are urging people to use caution with fires, slash pile burns and cigarette butts.
There are also no fire restrictions in El Paso County right now.
Denver officials say they're trying to prevent any human-caused wildfires that could divert valuable resources from fighting other blazes.
