Snow Stays South

We aren't expecting any problems in El Paso or Teller Counties today, as snow will stay to the south. Look for increasing sunshine with highs in the chilly 30s and 40s. A blustery north wind will make for another raw day.

Meanwhile, southern areas will be impacted by snow today, especially this morning. Areas along and south of a Canon City-Pueblo West-Kim line will have the best chance of seeing this snow. Most areas on the plains (including Canon City, Walsenburg, Trinidad) could pick up an additional one to three inches of snow today. Meanwhile locations over and near the Eastern Mountains could pick up an additional two to six inches. Snow will diminish from north to south, ending first along HWY 50 this morning, last along the CO/NM border this evening. Needless to say, hazardous winter travel should be expected south and southwest of Pueblo today, especially this morning.

Friday into the weekend is looking great. High temperatures in the 40s and 50s on Friday will be followed by the 50s, 60s, and low 70s this weekend.
