Big Weather Changes on The Way...

While Thursday will be nice and warm, 11 Weather is watching two storm systesm. The first and the weaker one, will impact the area on Friday. This will bring a sharp cooldown and rain/snow showers to the area. While this doesn't look to be a big storm, some light snow accumulations will be possible for Teller and Northern El Paso County. This would occur Friday into Friday night. Shouldn't be a big deal regarding travel.

Saturday looks to be the in between day. Cool with highs mainly in the 40's. On Saturday night, a strong storm will take aim at the area. Snow (possibly significant) will get going on Saturday night and continue through Sunday. While specific details are uncertain, the combination of locally heavy snow, strong wind, and cold temperatures could make travel very problematic on Sunday. The details should become much clearer in the next couple days...

If you have mountain travel planned, be prepared for hazardous travel with the Friday storm and the Sunday storm. Just because it has been so nice for the past two weeks, don't be caught off guard by the rapidly changing weather. Especially with the Sunday storm...

We'll continue to update you regularly on both systems, and be sure to check out our weather blog: for more updates...
