Further to the north in Wheatridge, strong winds left up to 50,000 people without power, knocking trees into homes and cars, and blowing out windows.

Tornado warnings were posted for areas west and south of downtown Denver. Cities north of the Denver metro area had tornado watches.

There were reports of wind damage but it is not known if a tornado touched down.

Kelsey, I wasn't trying to ruffle any feathers...I was just pointing out that this has happened before. These articles are very short and often incomplete. I've seen them add sentances & even paragraphs. No disrespect intended.

Bret, I was being a smart-@$$ and teasing "my.02" in a purely playful manner. Although, I had no idea they would update a "published" article without making a note saying so.

C, Kelsey, & Tom....If you look at the story above you will notice that it was updated after the original story was posted. I'm sure they added that sentance at the end of the second paragraph. They do that ALL the time. They seems to forget the basic law of jouranalism...Who, What When Where & Why!!

What part of "The storm hit around midnight in El Paso County" did you not understand?

What time did it hit? This story was reported at 3:26 a.m., but it does not say when the storm hit..There are so many mistakes in the reporting of KKTV..Raise your standard!
