A strong ridge of high pressure over Eastern New Mexico and Western Texas will bring a hot and dry day to Southern Colorado. High temperatures will soar into the low 90's for Colorado Springs, low 100's in Pueblo. This will mark the first time this year that Colorado Spring and Pueblo will surpass 90 and 100 degrees, respectively.

If you have outdoor plans today, be sure to use sunscreen, wear light-colored clothing, and drink plenty of water. Spend some time in the shade, too. Obeying these rules of thumb will help you beat the heat!
