Interstate 25 has reopened from Cheyenne to the Colorado border, after a spring storm dropping wet, heavy snow has forced the closure of numerous roads in southeastern Wyoming.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation says Interstate 80 is closed between Rawlins and Cheyenne. The department also closed numerous smaller roads in southeastern Wyoming.

Parts of central and southern Wyoming remain under a National Weather Service winter storm warning Friday morning.

The Weather Service's Cheyenne office says a strong storm system will continue to move across the region through Saturday bringing heavy snowfall.
