The snow may still be blowing for the Friday morning commute, but crews worked overnight to make sure roads are clear for drivers.

So what should you expect today and the weekend ahead? KKTV Meteorologist Branden Borremans says:

Early morning freezing fog and scattered flurries will add an extra layer of "glaze" to already slick roads. Be sure to take it slow and allow plenty of time to get to where you are going this morning. Fog should break up fairly quickly this morning, allowing for a good deal of sunshine for the rest of the day. While it will still be cool, it will be a lot warmer than yesterday with highs in the 30's and 40's.

The bigger warm up is still on track for the weekend, when temperatures will surge into the 50's and 60's. The Festival of Lights is Saturday evening, and the weather is looking great!

Early next week, another storm system will take aim at Southern Colorado. Snow will be possible on Monday afternoon and night, along with colder temperatures. We will keep you posted on the progress of this system.
