The Air Force and Navy have both confirmed that their own were among those killed in a massacre at an Aurora movie theater.
The Air Force says a reservist was among the victims killed in the shootings at a Colorado movie theater.
An Air Force statement released Saturday said 29-year-old Staff Sgt. Jesse Childress was among the 12 killed when a gunman opened fire early Friday in a crowded theater in Aurora, Colo.
Childress was a cyber-systems operator at Buckley Air Force Base.
The Air Force says another reservist was treated and released after being wounded at the shootings.
Earlier Saturday, the Navy has confirmed that a sailor was also among the deceased.
The victim has been identified as Petty Officer Third Class John Larimer, 27.
Larimer was among those unaccounted for Friday, before authorities could remove bodies from inside the theater and begin identifications.
Larimer, a cryptologic technician third class, was stationed at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora. He joined the Navy last summer.
"I am incredibly saddened by the loss of Petty Officer John Larimer," said Cmdr. Jeffrey Jakuboski, Larimer's commanding officer. "He was an outstanding shipmate. A valued member of our Navy team, he will be missed by all who knew him.
A second sailor and two airmen, also stationed at Buckley, were injured in the shooting.
