Obama, Romney Pull Colo. Campaign Ads In Wake Of Shooting

The campaigns of President Obama and GOP opponent Mitt Romney have decided to pull campaign ads in Colorado in the wake of one of the worst mass shootings in recent history.

Following a shooting spree at an Aurora movie theater during the midnight premiere of "The Dark Knight Rises," both campaigns asked Colorado television stations to pull political ads.

"It takes time for stations to be able to do this, but we are making every effort," the Obama campaign said Friday.

Both campaigns say the ads will be suspended until further notice.
