DENVER (AP) -- A funeral is being held in Denver for another victim of the mass shooting at a movie theater.
Twenty-three-year-old Micayla C. Medek was one of 12 people killed on July 20 during a midnight showing of the latest Batman movie.
Her funeral is planned at 11 a.m. Thursday at New Hope Baptist Church in Denver.
Medek lived in the northwest Denver suburb of Westminster. She attended Aurora Community College and worked at a Subway sandwich shop.
Family members described her as loving and independent-minded.
Visitation for another victim, Alex Sullivan, is being held Thursday in Denver. His funeral is private and plans have not been made public.
Sullivan was celebrating his 27th birthday when he was killed. Friends described him as a gentle man with a glowing smile.
