Police and firefighters in the Aurora area paid tribute to the victims of last week’s mass shooting Wednesday. For many, it was the first time visiting the memorial that spontaneously appeared near the movie theater.

The first responders arrived around 5:00 for an informal gathering. Several engaged in prayer for the victims.

The first responders were not the only people to visit the memorial Wednesday. Many others have also been visiting since the time of the shooting.
