Auditions for A Steady Rain by Keith Huff

Date(s): 7/13/2013

10:00am - 6:00pm

Springs Ensemble Theatre 1903 E. Cache La Poudre St. Colorado Springs CO 80909
A STEADY RAIN looks at the relationship between two life-long friends who now patrol the streets of Chicago as police officers. Joey, a recovering alchoholic, and Denny, a hot-head with a loose mouth, have known each other since kindergarten and have become family: Joey looks after Denny's wife and kids, while Denny keeps Joey away from the bottle. Things, however, take a turn for the worse after a deadly error in judgement is made while on duty, and the friendship is tested like never before. The result is "a harrowing journey into a moral grey area where trust and loyalty struggle for survival against a sobering backdrop of pimps, prostitutes and criminal lowlifes". This intensely raw and provocative duologue will be a Colorado Springs premiere.

SET is looking for ONE non-Equity actor for the role of JOEY (Male, age 35-50). The role of DENNY has been cast.

A STEADY RAIN will be directed by SET member David Plambeck, produced by Steve Emily, and co-produced by Keri Pollakoff and Emily Christensen.

A STEADY RAIN will begin rehearsals in late August/early September, and run from October 10-27.

Auditions will consist of a monologue (we will send you one from the show to prepare) and cold-readings.
To schedule your time, please call 719-357-3080. Please be sure to leave an email address so we can send you the monologue to prepare.

Please note: All roles are unpaid.
