‘ART’ by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton

4:00 pm Sunday and 7:30 all other night

Springs Ensemble Theatre, 1903 E. Cache La Poudre, Colorado Springs 80909
Springs Ensemble Theatre (“SET”) continues our fifth anniversary season with Yasmina Reza’s, ‘ART’ a comedy that challenges the conventions of art and the definition of friendship.

Marc is upset because one of his best friends, Serge, has bought a painting. It’s a canvas about five feet by four, white on white with diagonal white lines. Marc thinks the painting is a joke. Serge thinks Marc doesn’t have the training to understand. Their other friend, Yvan, eager to placate both of them, allows Marc and Serge to pull him into the middle of their disagreement. As the play goes on, lines are crossed, loyalties tested, and the trio’s arguments become less theoretical and more personal. Will their friendship survive?
For more information or to make reservations, call SET’s box office line at (719) 357-3080, email springsensembletheatre@gmail.com or visit our website: springsensembletheatre.org.

Street Survival Teen Driving Safety Course

8:00AM - 4:00PM

Pikes Peak International Raceway, Fountain, CO
Street Survival™ Teen Driving Safety Course
Teaching your teen driver how to survive behind the wheel!
This is not your high school Driver's Ed course . . .
This is not a course for learning how to drive your car at high speeds . . .
Safety and car control are our objectives - Saving lives is the result!

On Sunday, August 10, 2014 the Sports Car Club of America will be hosting a Street Survival Teen Driving Safety School at Pikes Peak International Raceway, in Fountain, CO. The school will run from 8:00AM to 4:00 P.M. Entry fee is $75 per student. Street Survival™ is built upon the premise that "safe driving is learned by doing." The program teaches students to avoid accidents by experiencing the handling characteristics of their own cars, and learning how to maintain control of them during emergency situations. Tire Rack Street Survival® is unique in that it offers students instruction in their own cars so that they learn the capabilities and limitations of their "daily drivers." To learn more about the Tire Rack Street Survival School, course requirements and content, and to register, go to www.streetsurvival.org. For specific information about the 10 August school, contact Arnie Coleman at arniecoleman@comcast.net or (719) 310-8281.
