Christine Rapp enjoys being able to cover different types of weather, as well as explore all of the beauty Colorado has to offer!
Christine attended the University of Missouri, earning a degree in Atmospheric Science and a minor in Spanish. It was her time in Missouri that she realized weather was for her. Being a part of the Mizzou Storm Chase team, she was able to travel all across the midwest, viewing her first tornado near Salina, Kansas in April 2012. As a Chicago native, Christine was also able to intern for WGN-TV for the summer of 2011. What really sparked her on-air career, though, was working at the NBC affiliate, KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri for three years during college. It was here she was able to forecast weather extremes from 18" of snow to severe weather outbreaks.
Besides weather, Christine also enjoys playing/watching sports. She's a big baseball, football, basketball and hockey fan, and looks forward to watching her favorite Chicago teams compete in Denver. She also enjoys working out, reading books about weather, and volunteering within the community.
You can catch Christine at every Monday through Friday on 11 News This Morning.
