Chief Meteorologist Brian Bledsoe grew up on a ranch in 45 miles southeast of Limon, Colorado.
Weather caught his eye at a very early age and he decided late in high school to give Meteorology a try. He wanted to mix Meteorology and Agriculture and make it a career, but somewhere along the way, he got into television.
He graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1997 with a Meteorology Degree. While still in school, he gained valuable experience as a Meteorologist at KGWN-TV in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The last eight years have taken his life and career to KMEG-TV in Sioux City, Iowa, KDLT-TV in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and then CBS 58 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Brian, his wife Dale Ann (also a Colorado native), and son Kendrick, couldn't be happier to be coming back to Colorado and especially to Colorado Springs. Brian grew up watching KKTV, and says, "It is a great pleasure to be serving the fine folks of Southern Colorado. Colorado weather is challenging to say the least. However, I am no stranger to it. With my dad and uncle still running a cattle ranch and farm, I've been giving them specific forecasts for the past several years."
While weather is his passion, so is sports. The Broncos are his football team, but the hoops are his true love. He also enjoys playing racquetball, running and weightlifting. If you see Brian around town, he says, "Don't hesitate to say 'hi,' or ask me about the weather. My family and I are looking forward to being in Colorado Springs for a long time."
