Betty Sexton is KKTV's 4 p.m. anchor and Call For Action reporter.
Betty came to KKTV in October of 1999 working as Noon Anchor/Investigative Reporter. Before joining the 11 News Team, Betty worked for KCTV, CBS Affiliate in Kansas City as an Anchor/Reporter for 15 years.
She has won numerous awards for her Crime Stoppers segments, including an Emmy, Missouri Broadcasters and Kansas Broadcasters award. Also, was specially recognized by the Kansas City Crime Commission for efforts in helping police solve hundreds of criminal cases.
At KKTV, Betty is well-known for her Call For Action segments. She has won many awards, including Colorado Broadcasters Awards and Associated Press awards for her investigations. In 2010, she was awarded the Citizen Broadcaster Award for her Call For Action work.
When not doing live shots, she enjoys tennis, running, biking, skiing, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two children.
