Name: David Nancarrow
Title: Anchor/ Reporter

A graduate of Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Colorado, Nancarrow came back to Colorado after working as a reporter and anchor at KFDA Newschannel10, the CBS affiliate, in Amarillo, Texas.

During his time in the Lone Star State, David covered a gamut of topics including local politics and education. His duties covering the upper counties of West Texas also kept him busy shooting Friday night high school football, not to mention chasing tornadoes and other sorts of weather unique to the Texas panhandle.

Nancarrow is thrilled to be back home and continues covering a list of topics in Southern Colorado, most specifically the stories of the local Military community. In April of 2006, David became the first Colorado-based television reporter to imbed with the soldiers of the U.S. Army’s Fourth Infantry Division as they carried out their mission across Iraq. Nancarrow spent weeks with the troops, telling their stories to Southern Colorado viewers live via satellite from areas including Baghdad, Baqoubah and Balad.

In his time at KKTV, David’s been honored to win several awards for his work in Iraq, including the Colorado Associated Press Broadcasters Association Best General Reporting, and was recognized for his part in producing the Colorado Broadcasters Association and Colorado AP’s Best Documentary winner: “Assignment: Iraq.” He has also been recognized by the Colorado AP for Investigative Reporting.

When not at the office, David spends his free time with his family and friends. He can often be found catching sports events either in person, or televised. He also joins his buddies, every fall, horribly mis-managing his Fantasy Football team. He plays golf about as well as he does Fantasy Football, but loves spending a day on the course, or taking part in many outdoor pursuits.
