Eric Lupher began at KKTV in May of 2008 as a Reporter/Producer. Eric thinks this gives him the best of both worlds- three days a week he works behind the scenes putting together KKTV's noon newscast.
Eric started as our morning reporter in December. He says the hours took a lot of getting used to but he really enjoys what the morning show has to offer.
Eric is a Colorado native. Born in Aurora, the chance to work close to home is a dream come true for him.
Eric started his career in Reno, Nevada. As a reporter there, Eric covered national stories including the wildfire at lake Tahoe and the search for missing college student Brianna Denison.
Just months before Eric made his move to KKTV, he was promoted to primary anchor in Reno.
Eric is a graduate of the Metropolitan State College of Denver. During his free time, Eric loves to golf. He says he doesn't know what he would do without it. Eric is also very serious about singing. He plays keyboard and writes his own music. "Yes, I'm even a wedding singer," he says.
Eric says he loves delivering the news here in Colorado Springs. You can help him with that by emailing news tips to ELupher@kktv.com.
