Rosie Barresi started 11 News in November of 2005 as a general assignment reporter. Before coming to Colorado, Rosie worked in Casper, Wyoming at KTWO Television for two years as weekend anchor and weekday reporter. She enjoyed working in the open space of the cowboy state but does not miss the wind.
Rosie graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism. While in school, she interned at ABC 7 News in Chicago and at Chicago Land's Television station.
Rosie was born and raised in Chicago. She is the youngest of ten kids, seven girls and three boys. The eldest sibling is 22 years older than Rosie. Therefore, Rosie has a niece that is older than her. Speaking of rugrats, Rosie also has more than 30 nieces and nephews, and counting. Yes, she has a very big Italian family. Rosie also tends to have expensive phone bills chatting with her enormous family.
When Rosie is not working, she loves spending time with her handsome husband, Josh. They like to hike, snow ski, fish, watch movies, play chess and eat. Rosie also loves playing tug-of-war with her adorable long hair Chihuahuas, Beacon and Brooks.
