Workout Wednesday - Grab That Medicine Ball

1. Medicine Buddy Ball Squat

Hold the medicine ball above your head as high as you can. Get in a squat position so that your legs are at a 90 degree angle. Remain in this position while your buddy knocks on the ball with his/her fists, attempting to knock it out of your hands. You will have to squeeze hard to keep the ball in your hands. Remain in this static position for 30 seconds to one minute. Switch buddies. Complete three sets.

2. Medicine Ball Reaches

Sit on a Pilates mat and hold the ball out in front of you with straight elbows, legs flat on the floor. Then rotate your body to the right and lay down at the same time, and reach as far out as you can to touch the floor at a given mark. You should be on your side at this point. Then return to the sitting position as when you started, and repeat for the left side. Attempt to complete 3 sets of 30 reps.


Fiber plays a critical role in proper digestion and overall health. People who do not consume enough fiber accumulate fat more easily, and they also tend to have smellier sweat! Fiber naturally cleans the body of toxins that would otherwise be stored in the fatty tissues. A good suggestion would be to go to your local health food store and purchase bran. Sprinkle it on all kinds of normal foods, such as mac and cheese, or sandwiches, etc. It is hardly noticeable and it will greatly improve your digestion. Also, broccoli and apples should be consumed at least once daily. Not only do they have a high fiber content, they improve skin tone and eye color!
