The left-hander, who tied the franchise record with 17 wins last year, walked three St. Louis Cardinals in a four-run first inning. Francis also gave up a home run to Albert Pujols in the second. But his record was wiped clean when the game was postponed by rain Monday with the Cardinals leading 5-1 in the third inning.

Yesterday the club signed left-handed reliever Micah Bowie and outfielder Scott Podsednik to major league contracts. They placed right-handed pitcher Jason Hirsh on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right shoulder. Hirsh was expected to be the Rockies' Number-4 pitcher but hasn't pitched since March 1st, when he strained his rotator cuff.

Rockies, Coors Agree To 10-Year Sponsorship Extension

Posted: 03/31/2008 - Molson Coors Brewing Co., the No. 3 beer producer in the United States, will be a fixture at Coors Field in Denver for at least the next decade. The Golden-based brewery said Monday it's signed a 10-year sponsorship agreement with the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball. Financial terms of the pact weren't disclosed.
