The U.S. women's national soccer team is taking on Australia in a friendly match in Colorado as part of its post-Olympic tour.

Wednesday night's game in Commerce City will bring a close to the tenure of coach Pia Sundhage (PEE'-uh soond-HAHG'-duh).

Earlier this month, Sundhage informed her players she was stepping down and returning to her native Sweden to oversee its national squad. She had a successful five-year term with the team, leading the Americans to back-to-back Olympic gold medals and their first World Cup final in 12 years. She was 90-6-10 while leading the squad.

The U.S. women are celebrating their third straight gold medal and fourth overall. They'll play Germany on Oct. 20 in suburban Chicago and on Oct. 23 in East Hartford, Conn.
