By virtue of losses by some of the nation's top teams, CSU-Pueblo has risen to a ranking of 3rd in the nation in the latest USA Today/AFCA Coaches' Poll released Monday.
After its 41-24 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State, the ThunderWolves are now enjoying its third-highest ranking in school history. The ThunderWolves, which entered last weekend ranked sixth, rose to the third position by virtue of losses by number-three Northwest Missouri State, number-four Midwestern State (Texas) and number-five Wayne State (Mich.).
CSU-Pueblo opens its Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference schedule this weekend when it travels to Western New Mexico to take on the Mustangs.
