COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Tacoma Rainiers pushed 25 runs across the plate on 30 hits to beat the Sky Sox 25-6 on Wednesday night.
The Rainiers hit through the order in three separate innings against the Sky Sox. That happened in the first, fifth and sixth innings.
Matt McBride and Josh Rutledge both homered for the Sky Sox in the loss. McBride finished 2-for-5 and Rutledge went 2-for-3.
The two teams will resume the four-game series on Thursday night at Security Service Field at 7:00 p.m.
