The Colorado Springs Sky Sox (24-15) jumped out to a three run lead over the Round Rock Express (21-20), but gave up seven unanswered runs to fall 7-4 at Dell Diamond.

Outfielder Corey Dickerson led off the game with a line drive single to extend his hitting streak to 14 games. Charlie Culberson followed that up with a base hit of his own and an error by Yangervis Solarte loaded the bases with one out. With the bases juiced Ryan Wheeler hit a sacrifice fly to give the Sox the early 1-0 lead.

The team expanded their lead in the fifth when Culberson hit his 11th double of the year and Tyler Colvin smacked a RBI triple. Colvin then scored on a sacrifice fly by Matt McBride to make it 3-0 Sky Sox. Heading into the fifth inning Sky Sox pitcher Jeff Manship had pitched four scoreless innings, but allowed his first runs of the game in the fifth after he loaded the bases with no outs. A force out by Eli Whiteside and a sacrifice fly brought home two runs and then a double by Jurickson Profar tied the game up at three.

After the fifth inning Express pitcher Ross Wolf (W, 1-1) shutdown the Sky Sox, and finished the day only allowing two earned runs over seven innings while striking out six batters.

With Cory Riordan (L, 3-1) pitching in the bottom of the seventh, Round Rock broke the game open on a RBI single by Profar, a wild pitch by Riordan and a two run home run by McGuiness.

Down 7-3, the Sox tried to mount a comeback in the eighth when they had runners on first and third with no outs. Tyler Colvin managed to score on a throwing error by pitcher Nate Robertson, but the team could not scratch across any more runs and lost their second game of the series.

Colorado Springs will look to win their 25th game of the season tomorrow when they face Round Rock at 5:05 MT.

Sky Sox Notes: Corey Dickerson led off the game with a single and has now hit safely in 14 straight games…In the fifth inning Tyler Colvin hit his third triple of the year and Colorado Springs now has a league leading 27 triples.
