Tonight’s game between the Omaha Storm Chasers and the Colorado Springs Sky Sox has been suspended in top of the 4th inning because of rain. The game was stopped with runners on 1st and 2nd with one out and the Storm Chasers leading 4-0.
The game will be made up on Friday, August 8 as part of a double header with the game resuming from where it stopped at 5:05 PM. Once the game has been played to it’s conclusion, the regularly scheduled game for the night will be played as a seven-inning contest.
Tickets for tonight’s game are considered rain checks and can be exchanged at the Sky Sox box office for any future 2014 regular season home game, based upon availability. In addition, the Used Car Giveaway Promotion from tonight’s game has been rescheduled for Sunday, August 10. Fans who entered the contest tonight will have their entry form carried over to the giveaway on August 10, when the Sky Sox will give away the remaining nine cars that were not given away tonight. Fans do not have to be present to win.
The final game of the three-game series between Omaha and Colorado Springs will be played tomorrow afternoon at 1:35 PM. The Sky Sox will send out RH Brett Tomko (2-1, 4.76) to face RH Aaron Brooks (7-2, 3.89).
