COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The Colorado Springs Sky Sox are proud to announce their continued partnership with First Command Financial Services as the two organizations once again team up to present the “Military Family of the Game” promotion at all 72 Sky Sox home games in 2014. The promotion will begin this Friday, April 11 as the Sky Sox host the Round Rock Express at 6:35 PM in their home opener.
Through the generous support of First Command Financial Services, each and every home game during the 2014 baseball season will include a special promotion where a local military family will be honored on the field and treated to an exciting night at the ballpark. The package for the selected military family includes four VIP tickets right behind the third base dugout, an honorary first pitch, recognition on the field during the pre-game ceremonies and the opportunity to stand on the field during the singing of the National Anthem.
Fans can sign up their own family or nominate another by visiting the Fan Center at any Sky Sox home game or by contacting either of First Command Financial Services’ two Colorado Springs locations at (719) 599-8861 or (719) 465-5555.
“Our culture in First Command Financial Services comes from the fact that the vast majority of our advisors served in the armed forces of our great nation,” said First Command Financial Services’ District Advisor Alan Crow. “That is why our mission today is, ‘Coaching those who serve in their pursuit of financial security’. In the words of our CEO, Scott Spiker, ‘We are committing ourselves to confronting critical issues facing those who serve by supporting their efforts to get their professional, personal, and financial lives Squared Away.’ That said, all of our financial advisors and staff are honored to partner once again with Sky Sox Baseball in the sponsorship of the ‘Military Family of the Game’ for all home games during the 2014 season.”
Also, any service members thinking about separating or transitioning to a new career are invited to consider joining First Command as a qualified Financial Advisor. As a company founded by a United States Air Force pilot to serve other service members, First Command knows that the intangible qualities they are looking for in a Financial Advisor are inherent in transitioning service members – qualities like work ethic, character, and leadership – which is why they devote so much of their time and resources to recruiting veterans.
In addition to their sponsorship of the “Military Family of the Game”, First Command Financial Services will also be the title sponsor of a Military Appreciation Night on Thursday, July 31. For that game, free ticket vouchers for military members and their families will be available on base and they can exchange them for a free night at the ballpark with their friends and loved ones. First Command Financial Services is also the new naming rights partner for the Sky Sox First Command Banquet Hall where over a 1,000 groups hold events throughout the year.
