DENVER – The Colorado Rockies announced today that the club has activated left-handed pitcher Boone Logan from the 15-day disabled list. In addition, to create room on the active roster for Logan the club has optioned outfielder Corey Dickerson to Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Before opening the season on the disabled list with left elbow inflammation (retroactive to March 21), he pitched in one game during Cactus League play on March 20 against Milwaukee (0.2 ip, 3, h, 1 r/er, 1 bb, 1 k). Over 420 career Major League games, all in relief, the 6-foot-5 left-hander is 24-12 with 2 saves and a 4.39 ERA (303.2 ip, 148 er), 132 walks and 304 strikeouts. Over his last four seasons, all with the Yankees, Logan has combined to go 19-7 with a 3.38 ERA (176.0 ip, 66 er), 74 walks and 202 strikeouts in 256 games.

Dickerson, 24, made his first career Opening Day roster this season after hitting .344 (20-for-61) with 4 doubles, a triple, home run and 5 RBI during Spring Training. This year, Dickerson has batted .200 (1-for-5) with 2 runs scored in 3 games. Last year, the 6-foot-1 outfielder made his Major League debut on June 22, 2013 at Washington where he collected his first two hits, both doubles, and his first career RBI. An eight round pick by Colorado in the 2010 First-Year Player Draft, Dickerson has appeared in 72 career games while batting .261 (52-for-199) with 13 doubles, 5 triples, 5 home runs, 17 BRI and 34 runs.
