RB Blount leads Pats to AFC title game vs. Broncos

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- LeGarrette Blount is on a roll as the New England Patriots head into the AFC championship game against the Broncos in Denver.

Blount has rushed for 355 yards and six touchdowns and returned kickoffs for 83 and 62 yards in his last two games.

The Patriots (13-4) obtained Blount in a trade with Tampa Bay last April. He rushed for 1,007 yards as a rookie with the Buccaneers in 2010 after going undrafted.

At the end of the opening game of his senior season at Oregon, he punched a Boise State player and was suspended by coach Chip Kelly. He was reinstated after eight games once he met certain academic and behavioral conditions.

Blount says no one brings that incident up now.
