LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. (GoThunderWolves.com – Apr. 24, 2014) — After leading the Colorado State University-Pueblo women's golf team to a second Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship in the last three years, Julie Sanchez (Jr., Pueblo, Colo.) and Leina Kim (So., Saipan, CNMI) were both named to the RMAC's All-Tournament Team.
Sanchez was named as the Co-MVP with Colorado Christian's Katrina Mendez after both players posted 2-day, 36-hole totals of 152 here at the WigWam Golf Resort, which played as a par-72 over 6,172 yards.
Kim tied for third just one shot back at 153 (+9). She also finished third at the 2013 RMAC Championships and earned the same all-tournament honors, which go to the top five finishers. Due to ties, there were seven selections this year.
The RMAC will announce post-season All-RMAC honors on Friday. Kim was the RMAC Player and Freshman of the Year and a First Team All-RMAC pick in 2013 and claimed three individual wins this season. She also earned five RMAC Golfer of the Week honors throughout the campaign.
Sanchez, who also won the Lady Buff Stampede in October, was a Second Team All-RMAC selection last year and earned Third Team All-RMAC honors as a freshman in 2011-12.
