Pack picked sixth in preseason poll, Kliesen is preseason All-America

PUEBLO, Colo. ( - Sept. 3, 2013) - CSU-Pueblo earned a national ranking of 6th in the Preseason Poll, released Tuesday. Punter Brandon Kliesen (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) was also named a preseason All-America selection.
CSU-Pueblo, which finished the 2012 season with a 12-1 record, earning its first NCAA Division II playoff win in program history and finishing the season ranked sixth in the nation, is expected to finish 2013 with that same end ranking of sixth.
The ThunderWolves ended the regular season as the number-one ranked team in the nation last year, holding the top spot for the final five weeks of the season.
The ThunderWolves were joined by RMAC foe, Chadron State, in the poll. Chadron is ranked 21st, according to
Kliesen, though, in earning first-team Preseason All-America honors by, becomes the first player in school history to earn such recognition by the organization.
