PUEBLO, Colo. — The Colorado State University-Pueblo football program hosted a Pro Day, Monday morning at the Neta & Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl. The event gave the opportunity for several Pack players the chance to display their talents for NFL scouts in hopes of continuing their football-playing careers at the professional level.
The participant list included 2013 Pack seniors Mike Pennel, Darius Millines, Josh Sandoval, Matt Tucker, DaVaughn Thornton and former Pack standout Marcial Williamson as well as Colorado Mesa University's Jake Edmiston.
Pennel had also participated in last month's NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
The participants did a variety of tests with the scouts, including broad and vertical jumps, a bench press test, a 40-yard dash and agility drills. They were also weighed and measured and many participated in skill sessions related to their positions.
Pack punter Brandon Kliesen was also slated to show of his abilities although high winds thwarted the opportunity.
