Mike Klis of the Denver Post first reported on Tuesday evening that Peyton Manning's single season passing yardage record will stand, one yard ahead of Drew Brees.
The record was under review by the NFL when the League was taking a closer look at a first quarter pass from Manning to Eric Decker.
Decker appeared to have been slightly behind manning on the play which could have made it a lateral instead of a forward pass. The play went for a seven yard gain. Had it been ruled a lateral, Manning would have finished six yards behind Drew Brees for the single season record.
