Denver's Peyton Manning has thrown three interceptions in the first quarter against the Atlanta Falcons.

It was only the second time in Manning's career that he's been picked off three times in the opening quarter. The previous time was Nov. 11, 2007 at San Diego, according to STATS LLC.

The Falcons converted the first pick by William Moore into a touchdown, and the second one by Thomas DeCoud led to a field goal for a 10-0 lead. Robert McClain had his first career interception late in the quarter on a play much like the first two, soft passes floated into heavy coverage by Manning.

On Sunday, Manning's brother, Eli, threw three interceptions in the first half but rallied the New York Giants to a 41-34 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
