COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Air Force guard Jimi Blagowsky earned Mountain West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors for games played from Feb. 18-24, 2013. It is the first honor of the season for an Air Force player and the first career honor for Blagowsky.
A sophomore from Edmond, Okla., Blagowsky led Air Force to a 77-72 victory over Boise State in the Falcons’ only game of the week. She scored a career-high 19 points off the bench, marking the second consecutive game she has reached double figures after previously holding a career high of six points. Blagowsky shot 58.3 percent (7-of-12) from the field, including a career-best 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. She also posted career highs of seven rebounds and three steals, while contributing two assists and finishing 2-of-2 from the free throw line.
Blagowsky and the rest of the Falcons return to action this Wednesday, Feb. 27, when they visit Wyoming in a 7:00 p.m. contest.
