PUEBLO, Colo. - CSU-Pueblo sophomore linebacker Ben Estica was named a Division II National Defensive Player of the Week by the Beyond Sports Network.
Estica recorded six total tackles, including three sacks, in the Pack's 35-3 win over Fort Lewis. CSU-Pueblo is now 5-0, ranked fifth in the nation, and has given up just 5.7 points per game over three conference games this season.
Estica has now been named a national player of the week by BSN twice this year (earning the honor following the Pack's win over Angelo State Sept. 14). He is the fourth ThunderWolf to earn national defensive player of the week honors, joining Stephan Dickens (Sept. 7) and Darius Allen (Sept. 28).
