Double Amputee Plays Football at Cripple Creek-Victor

By  |

Nikolai Louritt has never allowed his disability to deter him from his dreams.

Despite living most of his life without real legs, the double amputee is playing high school football for Cripple Creek Victor. He competes with the help of two prosthetic legs that are made of metal. The high school got him cleared to play the final three games of the season as long as he properly pads the legs.

Nikolai, who is just a sophomore, plays primarily on Special Teams but would like to eventually start on the Pioneers defense someday.

Cripple Creek-Victory plays its final game of the season at home against Ellicott on Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00pm.
