Coming into this season, Cuddyer had played 11 seasons with the Minnesota Twins and was a career .272 (1,106-for-4,072) hitter with 141 homers, 239 doubles, 580 RBI and 606 runs scored. He last played a minor league game in 2008 when he rehabbed with the Rochester Red Wings for four games hitting .300 (3-for-10) with two doubles, a RBI and three runs scored.
