BOULDER – Coming off their lone game of the week that resulted in a home victory, the University of Colorado men’s basketball team moved up one spot to No. 20 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, announced Monday.

It’s the fourth straight week the Buffaloes are ranked in the AP poll, and third straight in the USA Today/Coaches' Poll. The No. 20 AP ranking matches CU’s highest placing of the 2013-14 season. The Buffaloes remained No. 24 in the coaches’ poll.

The four consecutive weeks among the nation’s Top 25 is the longest weekly stretch being ranked since 1997, where they spent the last eight weeks in the AP Poll.

The Buffaloes ended the non-conference portion of the 2013-14 slate last Saturday with an 84-70 home victory over Georgia. CU placed all five starters in double figures and set a school record for free throws made/attempted (26-of-26). CU is 11-2 on the season, that also has seen a 10-game winning streak, tying for the fourth longest in school history.

CU opens Pac-12 Conference play this week taking on Oregon State (Thur., Jan. 2, 8 p.m.) and No. 10/9 Oregon (Sun., Jan. 5, 3 p.m.) at the Coors Events Center. The Buffs are 9-0 at home.

The CU/OSU (8-4) game can be seen on ESPNU, while unbeaten Oregon (12-0) can be seen on Fox Sports 1.

Tickets for Oregon State and Oregon are still available. Fans can also purchase a Holiday 2 Game Plan and get a ticket to both games for $30. Tickets can be purchased at or by calling 303-49-BUFFS.
