COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Hunter Fejes' goal with 11 seconds left in overtime lifted Colorado College over Denver 6-5.
Saturday's Western Collegiate Hockey Association game appeared headed for a second straight tie. But then Fejes scored unassisted at 4:49 to spoil a big comeback by Denver.
The Pioneers (15-8-6, 10-6-6) scored three times in a three-minute span late in the third period to force overtime. Zac Larraza's goal at 17:18 knotted it at 5-5.
Friday's game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Colorado College (10-14-4, 7-10-4) seemed to have things in hand when Alexander Krushelnyski scored at 13:55 of the third period to give the Tigers a 5-2 lead.
Fejes had two goals and an assist and Mike Boivin and Krushelnyski had a goal and assist.
LaLeggia had a goal and assist. Eleven Pioneers had points.
Joe Howe made 31 saves for Colorado College and Juho Olkinuora made 32 saves for Denver.
