COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - CSU-Pueblo freshman tailback Cameron McDondle (Fr., Littleton, Colo.) has been named the National Football Foundation Colorado Player of the Week.
In his first collegiate start, the third-string running back had one of the best days of any runners in CSU-Pueblo history and broke the record for most single game rushing yardage by a freshman when he ran for 240 yards and a touchdown in the Pack's 35-21 win over Colorado School of Mines.
McDondle helped lift the ThunderWolves, which entered the game ranked second in the nation, to the program's second ever number-one national ranking following the game.
McDondle is the second ThunderWolf this season to earn Colorado Player of the Week honors, joining teammate J.B. Mathews (So., Aurora, Colo.), who earned the distinction Sept. 17.
