PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Sept. 18, 2013) - The CSU-Pueblo women's golf team has risen to a national ranking of 5th nationally, setting a program standard.
The ThunderWolves earned the ranking from GolfStat, the national collegiate ranking service.
The ranking comes by virtue of the Pack's low scores to start the season, which includes wins at the first two RMAC tournaments of the season.
The women's golf team joins the CSU-Pueblo men's golf team, which debuted at 3rd in the nation. Along with the football team, ranked fifth in the nation currently, it marks the first time in school history that three different programs have been ranked top five in the nation at the same time.
"Having this much success to start the year is fantastic," CSU-Pueblo Director of Athletics Joe Folda said. "It's a testament to how well [Director of Golf] Josh Koschke has led our programs."
