WACO, Texas (GoThunderWolves.com - Sept. 16, 2013) - The ThunderWolves remained ranked 5th in the nation Monday following its 45-24 win over Angelo State at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
CSU-Pueblo remained in the five spot, behind defending national champion Valdosta State, Minnesota State-Mankato, Northwest Missouri State and West Texas A&M. CSU-Pueblo was one of three schools to garner at least one of 32 possible first-place votes. Valdosta got 28 and Minnesota State received three.
The ThunderWolves (2-0), enter Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play this week, hosting Western New Mexico in its home opener Saturday. The Pack is carrying a 28-game regular season winning streak into this game, the longest such streak in Division II and the second-longest streak in the NCAA (regardless of Division).
